Add Relevant Subheadings to your Resume

After you’ve chosen an appropriate resume format and layout for your resume, check your section headings to make sure that they are simple and that they can easily be parsed by the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Some examples of good section subheadings are:

Resume Summary

Core Skills

Experience

Education

Avoid using vague terms such as “About Me” and “Accreditations” for your headings. The same rule is applicable for the skills section. Avoid using vague terms and abbreviations that can create confusion in the minds of your prospective employer or hiring manager. Instead, include relevant keywords and skills that highlight your competencies.
