Presently, unemployment in the country is at an all time high. Offering nonexistent jobs and making money from the desperation of the job seekers has become quite common. It’s quite reasonable that a job seeker is keen on only finding a suitable job and rarely notices the fraud. Let’s see how we can spot a fake job offer. Once you have sorted and picked out the job offers in the field of your expertise/ choice check for these red flags:
- The job offered does not match your skill set and your experience in the profession
- The salary offered is not reasonable or compatible to your experience in the field
- The company website does not reflect the vacancy that the recruiter is offering
- Look into the company credentials that come with the offer- check in LinkedIn etc for authenticity of the same
- The offer should have a registered mail ID with a domain mentioned
- The interview should be in an authentic office space and not an online process
- Read the advert/offer carefully- look out for spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and command over language etc
- Decline immediately if the recruiter demands money for job offered.
