LinkedIn recently launched an online survey of more than 1,000 Indian members that assessed professionals’ current sentiments about the job market. Here are a few pointers from the survey:
- Respondents felt confident about long-term outlook but were concerned about the short-term availability of jobs.
- The survey revealed that 42% of Indian professionals would increase their time spent in job search while 64% would increase their focus on learning.
- Self-employed individuals expressed lower confidence in financial betterment but 81% were still confident that their companies would do better in the next two years.
- On the other hand, senior executives felt that their companies will face tougher times in the next six months even though 69% are confident of their companies’ progress in the next two years.
- Many professionals reported that their companies failed to offer access to services for supporting their physical health and emotional wellbeing.
