Spend 10 Percent of Your Time on Job Boards

Once you’ve prepared your resume, the next step is to upload it on online job boards and job portals such as Monster.com, Naukri.com, etc. Today, almost everything is online right from departmental stores to lifestyle stores.

Hence, it’s important to create an online presence at the very beginning of your job hunt. Once that is done, shortlist the job descriptions that interest you and start applying to each of them one by one. However, make sure that you don’t spend all your time on job boards.

Divide your time in such a manner that you end up spending only 10 percent of your time on job boards and spend the remaining 90 percent on active face-to-face networking.
