What not to Include in your Resume?

While drafting your resume, make sure to leave out the following sections as they do not add value to your resume.

Objective statement: The objective statement has become quite outdated in recent times. Replace the objective statement with a professional summary mentioning your skills, qualifications and strengths. This will give your prospective employer an idea of your accomplishments.

References: Once you are shortlisted, employers will ask for references if required. Hence, you could provide these at that time instead of mentioning them in your resume.

Soft Skills: Avoid mentioning soft skills such as hardworking and problem resolution. Instead, focus on quantifiable skills that will give your employer an idea of how you could contribute towards the company’s growth.

GPA score: Don’t mention your GPA on your resume unless you’re a recent graduate who lacks work experience.
