Which things should not be mentioned on the resume/CV?

Hiring managers get bombarded with CVs. As such, it is important to mention a few things and exclude others in order to catch their attention. A few things that should not be included besides the usual stuff that should be included i.e. job experience and qualifications etc.:

Irrelevant work experience: You might have taken up few odd jobs during your high school break but there is no need to include this information.

◾Personal stuff like religious preference or Social Security number.

References: If your employers want to talk to your references, they will ask you.

◾ A less than professional email e.g. [email protected].

School grades: Once you’re out of school, grades do not matter.
